we first reviewed the old words and the greetings and then we introduced the new words. Next, instead of using small whiteboards, we used a sheet of paper and folded it into 8 boxes. On each box student were asked to write the "pinyin", English, and to draw a picture to what they heard. After we finished the 8 boxes with 11 words/phrases/sentences, we played the charade game with sentences.
