January 30, Wednesday 一月三十日星期三

Absent students - Please copy down the words we learned in class and show the teacher your notes when you come in.

Today we learned several phrases about Chinese as the followings:

nǐ hǎo = hello
nǐ hǎo ma? = How are you?
wǒ hěn hǎo = I am fine
bù hǎo = no good
mǎ mǎ hǔ hǔ = so-so
hěn lèi = very tired
hěn 餓è= very hungry

And then students were asked to pull out a piece of paper and fold in half. On the top of the first half write down - nǐ hǎma? and on the top of the 2nd half write down 你nǐ 是shì 誰shéi ?
And write down the number from 1-34 (as we have 34 students in class today).
Each student walked around the classroom and asked the student he/she met and asked nǐ hǎo ma? Write down the answer that the person answer, and then ask nǐ shì shéi ? and write down their name.
